Driven by a love of the moments when an image can emerge on the paper without any apparent conscious thought, Peter Truran aim as a painter is to attempt to achieve in a painting similar qualities to those which are found in drawing, a feeling that the form emerges as a barely conscious dialogue between the marks on the surface and the artist.
